Glimpses of Jenny

Visting London in the 1960s was an exciting part of my childhood. It represented pop music, fashion, and the youthful exhuberance of my cousins the Martin girls.  Jenny, with her flawless complexion and dark eyes, was to my childhood imagination the epitome of 60s glamour.

Later in life I got to know Jenny better and appreciated the beauty from within. I witnessed many times her empathy, kindess and genuine interest in people.  She always looked for the good in people, who invariably responded to her warmth and good nature. Her love and support for her husband, children and grand-children was obvious, and she was deeply committed to a wider notion of family, and the concern and support that goes with it. "We're family, aren't we?" she often said.  Jenny, I'm proud you counted me among your own.  You inspired me to try and be a more tolerant and kinder individual.  I am in your debt.

Martyn and I will miss you so much.
